Not able to get time off to attend AFGE webinars? Do the webinars you want fill up too quickly, or ​conflict with your schedule? Well, ​we have good news – the Field Services and Education Department is now offering webinar replays On Demand! The video replays have been re-formatted for easy navigation, bookmarking and quiz interactions that can be completed at your convenience.

The duration of this training is approximately 4 hours in total.  AFGE members will be given an option to print a certificate of completion that validates up to 4 hours of online instruction.  Instructions on how to document your learning record and print a certificate will be provided at the end of this training.  An AFGE members ID number will be required to print your certificate.

 

EO 14003 and Beyond - Webinar Replay

Field Services Director Marlin Jenkins reviews what President Biden's Executive Order 14003 (issued January 2021) means for bargaining in the federal sector. The subsequent guidance from OPM regarding the implementation and the opportunity to engage in bargaining on permissive topics are discussed. AFGE members will validate up to 2 hours of online instruction and issue a certificate pending successful completion of all modules and quizzes.

Steward Online Orientation - Webinar Replay

A must for new AFGE stewards, or any steward who has not yet attended formal training in best practices for local stewards. This webinar overviews steward responsibilities, engaging and education bargaining unit employees, and online tools and resources. Upon completion, AFGE members will validate up to 4 hours of online instruction and issue a certificate of completion pending successful completion of all modules and quizzes

NOW Bargaining Basics - Webinar Replay

This introductory webinar is aimed at members who are likely to be involved in the collective bargaining process at their local or council. We discuss what can and cannot be bargained under federal law, “good faith” bargaining, use of official time, information requests, and how to access additional relevant resources. Upon completion, AFGE members will validate up to 4 hours of online instruction and issue a certificate pending successful completion of all modules and quizzes

Representation: Grievance Handling - Webinar Replay

This new and popular webinar teaches Local Stewards specific skills and advanced strategies for filing and processing grievances effectively, including identifying grievances, interviewing employees, and sources of evidence. Participants should have completed the basic Stewards Orientation webinar or the self-paced Stewards training prior to attending this webinar. Upon completion, AFGE members will validate up to 4 hours of online instruction and issue a certificate of completion pending successful completion of all modules and quizzes.
